Denmark is small country in the Northern part of Europe where the total population is around 6milion people. It is the only Scandinvian country where the sales of alcohol is not regulated by the state monopoly.

Importers are free to order whenever wine and spirits they want into the state and sell it into the Denmark market. The consumption per capite is one of the highest in Europe reaching 30L per year each person. Denmark is still a young market in continue growth where are located many Michelin star restaurants. The most imported wine in Denmark is Italian, representing the 30% of the market followed by France, Spain, and Chile.

France represents the country with higher quality wines while Spain and Chile find appreciation mostly for the great value ratio quality/price. Even though since the pandemic started the consumption of wine decreased in general, Germans wine, however, seems to be a beneficiary of the pandemic.

The country’s consumption level has risen significantly over the past 5 years in Denmark. This depend on increased accessibility, distribution, and marketing efforts throughout the pandemic, as well as the borders were shut and importing from other country was limited.

Furthermore, the proximity between Germany and Denmark meant supply of German wine faced less disruption in the past year compared with sources further away from Denmark. Finally, the closure of the border, not allowing anymore the shopping directly in Germany, where taxes on wine are significantly lower than in Denmark, led to a repatriation of some German wine purchases normally not measured in Danish sales numbers.

In 2021 Denmark was also classified as the fifth country in Europe importing wines. This is showing how well considered wine in this country. More than 100 distributors are spread on the country and more than 650 importers has a license to import wines from all over the world.

Exhibitors will deliver the wines (max 6 references) to the location agreed. All costs related to the logistic to send the bottles and materials are responsibility of the exhibitors.

We do not accept shared  table with other companies.

Participation of Consortium or group of wineries have to be arranged case by case (Masterclass organization and others)
